The Wind in the Willows

Mole. Ratty. Badger. The infamous Mr. Toad! Together, alongside a rich cast of characters, these four friends will take you on a wild ride as they tumble and stumble to find their place in the world. Shy and curious Mole craves a life of adventure in the world above-ground where he befriends good hearted Ratty and sensible, down-home Badger. Their friendship is put to the test as impulsive Toad consistently gives himself over to antics such as stealing motor cars and hustling them recklessly about the countryside. It becomes the three friends' mission to save Toad not only from himself, but rescue the glorious Toad Hall from underhanded weasels, ferrets, and stoats.

A funky celebration of nature, friendship and loyalty, Kenneth Grahame's treasured characters and their enchanting river home come alive outside at Wheeler Park Ferris Wheel in a color of movement, music, and enchantment in this original and immersive adaptation of Wind in the Willows.

This production is staged outside at the Wheeler Ferris Wheel grounds. Tickets are general admission.

There is no  assigned seating for this production and seating in chairs, picnic tables are limited. There will be picnic seating on the ground! A picnic market and show kits (think Rocky Horror) are available as the "Immersive Ticket" for added fun, and also available pre-show! When ordering online, you are pre-ordering your show kit and picnic so that it is available on your selected show date.

WARNING: This show is highly immersive! Actors will be moving throughout and in the audience. They may sit at your table! You may get wet. You will be sang to and other shenanigans! By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and understand that Storyteller Theatre or Wheeler District is not responsible for any misconceptions about this show  being immersive and interactive. Prepare to have a great time, and don't be a fuddy duddy!

There will be pre-show entertainment by the cast beginning 30 minutes prior. For Friday and Saturday performances, there will be a retro market pop-up outside for guests to shop for treasures. If you wish to ride the ferris wheel, you must purchase tickets separately at the Wheeler ticket booth prior or after the show. All lawn games and outdoor activities are free to enjoy!
